one of sixteen constituent institutions of the University of North
Carolina System, seeks candidates for the position of Associate
University Librarian. In a collegial teambased environment, the
Associate University Librarian (AUL)  is the lead administrator for
internal operations, working with library personnel and the University
Librarian to shape the vision of library services and determine
strategies to achieve it. The AUL works closely with the University
Librarian on budget management and overall decisionmaking, and takes a
lead role in library assessment. Specific responsibilities include:
coordination of library faculty peer evaluation; administration of
classified staff recruitment, selection, and evaluation; and promotion
of effective communication among library teams and individual
personnel. The AUL takes a lead role in fostering a multicultural
environment. The AUL plans, implements, and evaluates overarching
library policies and procedures, and represents library interests

The Boise State University Women's Center Coordinator will plan,
develop, and administer educational programming about women's

Specific Duties/Responsibilities:

Program Development Identifies needs, interests, and trends relevant
to gender issues and guides program efforts in these directions.
Develops and implements educational and social programs pertaining to
gender issues including, but not limited to, Women's History Month,
Mentor-for-a-Day, and the Larry Selland Humanitarian Award. Assists in
the educational and personal development of women students through
workshops, seminars, and informal activities.  Develops and
disseminates information regarding Women's Center programs and
services to the campus and community.  Researches, solicits, and
writes grants and identifies other possible outside funding sources.
Works collaboratively with the Women's Center Advisory Board, other
University departments, and community entities to develop and
implement programs and services that support the mission of the
Women's Center.

Facility and Program Management Hires, trains, coordinates and
evaluates graduate assistant, undergraduate office assistants, and
volunteers. Develops and maintains the budget.  Oversees the use,
maintenance, and security of the Center and its equipment and

General Duties: Provides educational counseling and support to
students individually and in small groups. Makes appropriate referrals
for students to support services on campus and in the community.
Serves as a resource to the University and community in the area of
women's issues. Works cooperatively and supports other activities
within the Student Activities Department.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required and Master's degree
preferred in College Student Personnel or related field. Two (2)
years' experience preferred. Experience in selecting, training and
supervising staff preferred. Experience in program planning, and grant
writing preferred.

Salary: $26,700 (10-month position).
